2 Year Funding low income/ none working families
The government funding for 2 year olds is only available to eligible families. This funding is income assessed. Eligibility can be found at https://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/care/early-years-and-childcare/help-with-childcare/funded-early-years-places-for-two-year-olds
Families must provide a valid 2 year funding code and the child’s birth certificate to register for a place. The funding is term time only for 38 weeks a year.
The 2 year funding can be used in three different ways
Morning sessions 9-12 for 5 days a week
Afternoon sessions 1-4 for 5 days a week
Three days a week 9-2 or 10-3
Meals and snacks are included for 2 year funded children.
2 year funding working families
From April 2024 working families will be able to access 15 hours of funded childcare. Follow the link to check eligibility and to apply.

Please ensure you have applied and received your code prior to the start of term you are entitled to claim the funding.
3 &4 Year old funding
Universal funded 15 hours is available term time only 38 weeks a year. All 3 & 4 year olds are entitled to these hours.
The 3/4 year funding can be used in three different ways
Morning sessions 9-12 for 5 days a week
Afternoon sessions 1-4 for 5 days a week
Three days a week 9-2 or 10-3
Parents/carers will need to provide the child’s birth certificate on registration.
Meals & snacks for the three full days are charged at £3 per meal or a healthy packed lunch can be provided. We do not have facility to store in the fridge or reheat food.
30 hours funded childcare 3 &4 Year olds
Extend entitlement, some 3 & 4 year old children are entitled to an additional 15 funded hours a week. This will need to be applied for and is income assessed. You can apply here
Parents/carers will need to provide a valid 30 hour funding code prior to the end of the previous term your child becomes entitled.
For example:
Entitled to funding from January (Spring term) funding code must be applied for prior to 31st Dec (End of Autumn term).
Entitled from April (Summer term) funding code must be applied for prior to the end of Spring term.
Entitled from September (Autumn term) funding code must be applied for prior to 31st August (End of summer term)
If the funding code is not confirmed by the key dates the additional hours will not be available until the following term. The code will also need to be renewed every three months a reminder will be sent for this.
We have different options available for using the 30hours with Zoe’s Childcare.
No meals or snacks are included with in the government funding.
Option 1- Complete Flexibility
Full 30 hours with Zoe’s Childcare using the hours as you need them.
30 Hours between 730-6 Monday to Friday
With an additional extras charge of £10 per day, this charge covers meals & snacks & consumables for the day
Additional hours Over your 30 hours charged at the hourly rate.
Option 2
Monday- Friday 9-3
Lunch & snacks charged at £4 per meal
Alternatively a healthy packed lunch & snacks can be provided. We do not have facility to store in the fridge or reheat food.
Option 3
Stretched over the whole term allowing your child to attend during school holidays with partial funding.
Spring term January to March 13 weeks ( 11 weeks funded ) 11×30=330/11 weeks = 25.39 funded hours a week
Summer term April to August 20 weeks ( 13 weeks funded) 13×30=390/20= 19.5 funded hours a week
Autumn Term September to December 17 weeks (14 weeks funded) 14×30=420/17= 24.71funded hours a week hours a week.
Additional hours charged at hourly rate
Lunch and snack £4 per meal. Alternatively a healthy packed lunch & snacks can be provided. We do not have facility to store in the fridge or reheat food.
9 Month old funding
Children 9 months and over will be entitled to 15 hours childcare. Parents must be working 16hours or more a week and will need to apply for a code prior to the term start date.
